RATED R brought SIR back to Double Whammy! on Friday 2 October 2026, with our dear friend and Paris queer techno powerhouse BEN MANSON returning for another Auckland appearance.
Red was the invitation. Techno was the reason.
The main-room bill brought together BEN MANSON, Concussion, MBVR and Late To The Party, while Miami Wine Cooler and Ryan Borne took care of the Public Bar programme. Two spaces, six artists and a distinctly SIR approach to a Friday night on Kβ Road.
Queer-run and unapologetically inclusive, SIR is a gathering for the LGBTQIA+ community, allies and friends, exploring the full spectrum of techno and adjacent sounds. ROUGE supplied the dress inspiration; kindness, consent and respect remained the foundations.
