SIR: EVENT TERMS

The resale of your ticket at a price higher than the official purchase price from the authorised ticket agent Humanitix, or other SIR-authorised sale channels, is grounds for cancellation of your ticket without compensation.
The only valid tickets are those purchased or redeemed/transferred through Humanitix or other SIR-authorised sale channels.
Your photo may be taken by our official photographers and used in future promotional material unless you request otherwise.
Your email address may be collected so that we can contact you directly regarding SIR events. We respect your privacy and will not pass your details on to third parties or send you emails not relating to SIR events.
SIR is an 18+ event.
You must read and agree to follow our Code of Conduct before attending SIR events.
We reserve the right to refuse entry.
Smart Glasses & Wearable Recording Devices

To protect privacy, consent and people’s freedom to express themselves at SIR, camera-equipped smart glasses and other wearable recording devices are not permitted at SIR events.
This includes devices that can capture, stream or process images, video or audio in a way that may not be obvious to people nearby.
The rule applies whether the device is being actively used to record or not.
Why we have this rule
SIR events are spaces where people should be able to dance, dress, undress and express themselves without having to wonder whether an apparently ordinary pair of glasses or wearable device is recording them.
Visible phones and cameras can be managed through consent and event-specific photography rules. Wearable recording devices make it much harder for patrons and staff to know when recording or image capture is taking place.
For that reason, we regulate the device itself rather than relying only on whether someone says they are recording.
Entry and storage
Patrons should leave camera-equipped smart glasses and other wearable recording devices at home or securely stored elsewhere before arriving at the event.
SIR does not provide or guarantee storage for these devices and does not accept responsibility for their safekeeping.
If someone arrives with a prohibited device, they must remove it from the event and securely store it elsewhere before entering. Entry may be delayed or refused until this has been done.
SIR staff, door staff and volunteers should not take personal custody of prohibited devices. A venue-operated cloakroom or other formal storage service may only be used where the venue expressly accepts the item under its own storage conditions.
Accessibility
If you use smart glasses or another wearable device as an accessibility aid, please contact SIR before the event where possible.
We will work with you in good faith to identify an appropriate accommodation that protects both your access needs and the privacy and consent of other patrons.
If an accessibility need is raised unexpectedly at the door, staff should escalate it to the SIR event lead rather than taking custody of the device or automatically refusing entry.
Official photography and production
This policy does not prevent SIR-approved photographers, videographers or production crew from using clearly identifiable equipment as part of their work.
Official photography remains subject to SIR’s privacy, consent and event-specific photography requirements.
Enforcement
If a prohibited wearable recording device is found inside the event, staff may require it to be removed from the event space immediately.
Refusing to comply, covert recording, or recording people without consent may result in removal from the event and may affect entry to future SIR events.
This policy operates alongside the SIR Code of Conduct and any stricter photography or phone rules applying to a particular event or venue.
